Home Again

Bentonville was amazing! We rode some killer trails there and spent some time with great people. But it was time to move on to our next stop.

We traveled along the highway and entered the rocky hills that Taos and Angelfire call home. It was a beautiful drive and a great end to a long day in the 4Runner. We settled in at the rented condo, enjoyed a beer, and prepared to ride the next day.

Unfortunately, the long drive sent us off the rails and we woke up the next morning feeling horrible. After a long talk about what to do next, we decided to hit the road and head home. Durango was just 5 hours away and we could be there pretty quickly. The anticipation of a home cooked meal and a comfortable bed was too much to ignore, and we drove out.

After a day of rest, I organized a ride at Engineer Mountain with Patrick. We shuttled up the mountain and I did my best to psych myself up for the ugly climb and the amazing descent that lay ahead.
