It was a 4 ½ hour drive from Roanoke, Virginia to Brevard, North Carolina. Arriving a few weeks ahead of the hurricane devastation, the weather was humid, but almost perfect for riding. We hit up the Hub, visited a few shops, and drank a few pints. The next morning we loaded up the 4Runner and headed out to the Wildlife Center to get a quick and techy ride in on the Cove Creek trail.
